Welcome Message

A greeting may be included in the product listing area of the page when the catalog is first opened.

The content for this greeting can be edited in your AShop admin panel. Open the page Catalog->Manage Pages in your admin panel to add or modify existing welcome message items. If more than one exists, the first one on this page will be used, unless they are assigned to different shopping mall members, in which case the one that belongs to the current shop that a visitor is viewing will be used.

The placeholder code %features% can be used to display a list of featured products in the welcome message. The products that are shown in place of the placeholder code are determined by the "Featured Spot" option on the main Edit page for the products. They are shown in the order of the Featured Spot numbers, number 1 shown first, then number 2 and so on. The number of spots you can have is determined by the setting "Featured items" on the page Configuration->Shop Parameters.

The default welcome message content contains a picture with the text "Welcome to a new AShop!". This picture is the file callout1.jpg found in the images folder and can be replaced with any other graphic or textual content by editing the default message. You can of course also replace the callout1.jpg file itself with your own custom version, which should be 550 pixels wide to fit the default design theme.
